How escrow keeps your money safe

What happens to your money between accepting an offer and releasing payment.

The TaskCoast teamLast updated 7 October 2026

When you accept an offer

The agreed price moves from your wallet into escrow. The tasker can see that the payment is secured, so they can start with confidence.

While the task is in progress

The money stays put. Neither side can spend it.

When the job is done

The tasker marks the task complete and you release the payment. The tasker receives the price minus the service fee shown in their offer.

If something goes wrong

If you can't agree, our team reviews both sides before any money moves. Read more on our safety page.
